The property is located 120 road kilometres south east of Kenora,
Ontario. In 2008, Opawica Explorations Inc. completed 70 diamond drill holes for a total of
10,000m of drilling on the Atikwa Lake Property.
In 2008, a gradient induced polarization survey and a magnetometer survey was completed by Insight Geophysics
totalling 18 lines spaced at 100m intervals, except over the Maybrun zone where 50m line spacings were carried out
totalling 25 line kilometres. Twelve Insight Sections were completed to a vertical depth of 400m. The results of this
survey confirms that prominent coincident chargeability and resistivity anomalies, usually associated with chalcopyrite
and pyrrhotite zones, extend at least to 400m in vertical depth on the Maybrun zone and on the Northern Gold-
Copper target located about 800m north of the Maybrun zone.
As a result of the recent drilling within and immediately adjacent to the Maybrun zone, and all
historic drilling, both totalling an aggregate of over 250 holes on the Maybrun zone, as well as IP geophysics over the
Maybrun zone and two underground headings that bisect the Maybrun zone for about 500m long at the 45m level and
the 85m level, resources for the various gold-copper zones have been published.
The mineral resource estimates are classified as Indicated and Inferred for a range of gold equivalent (Au-Eq) cut off grades of which 0.40 g/t Au was used. Some preliminary economic considerations with respect to Au-Eq cut-off grades, average in-situ US$/ Tonne value for Indicated resources, were calculated based on forward looking estimates of gold and copper metal pricing, mining and milling cost estimates. The mineral resources estimates of the Atikwa Lake property are not mineral reserves and do not have demonstrated economic viability. There are three mineral zones outlined in the mineral resource estimate consisting of the Maybrun Main Zone, Maybrun footwall Zone and Maybrun North Zone. The mineral resource estimates are classified as Indicated and Inferred for a range of US$ per tonne cut-off grades. The large majority of the resources, including all of the Indicated resource, are within 130m of surface.
Maybrun Main Zone - Indicated Resource:
7,366,000 tonnes at 0.64 g/t Au for 151,000 ozs Au and 0.41 % Cu for 66,466,000 lbs Cu.
Maybrun Main Zone - Inferred Resource:
1,738,000 tonnes at 1.15 g/t Au for 64,000 ozs Au and 0.30 % Cu for 11,622,000 lbs Cu.
Maybrun Footwall Zone- Inferred Resource:
5,400,000 tonnes at 0.94 g/t Au for 163,000 ozs Au and 0.18 % Cu for 21,696,000 lbs Cu.
Maybrun North Inferred Resource:
3,454,000 tonnes at 0.67 g/t Au for 46,000 ozs Au and 0.25 % Cu for 18,921,000 lbs Cu.
The North Inferred Resource is situated about 600m north of the Maybrun Main Zones. Drilling in this 600m gap is recommended as these zones may connect or in some way be related. In addition, deep drilling of at least four holes is recommended to depth on the Maybrun Main Zone which is clearly open at depth below 200m. Further infill drilling of the Main Maybrun zones is also recommended.
